Tammy Schlemmer was born in Heilbronn, in the southwest of Germany, and grew up with four siblings with her mother.
Even as a child, she developed a great love of reading and writing. Besides the library card, notebooks and pens belonged in every pocket. Various short stories, poems and longer manuscripts were written during her teenage years.
It was not until she was a young adult that she submitted one of the poems to a competition. In 2006, her poem "Was ist Liebe" (What is Love)
was included in the annual anthology of contemporary poems, the Frankfurter Bibliothek.
